Robin LaCross is a holistic health practitioner who specializes in women’s reproductive health. She has been teaching natural birth control methods for over 25 years because she is passionate about making sure every young woman grows up knowing and understanding her body and cycle. Robin is on a mission to reduce unintended pregnancies and the spread of STDs in the world by changing the way mothers talk to their children about growing up, sex and staying safe.
Her passion for women’s health was ignited in the early 90’s as part of her personal journey of self discovery and the pressing desire to be free of hormonal birth control and feel confident that she could protect herself from unintended pregnancy. When she discovered she could learn to tell when she was fertile each month and use that information to avoid getting pregnant it opened a whole new world of possibility. And she wondered what it would be like if every young woman grew up knowing and understanding her body to this degree.
Ever since then, Robin has been teaching women about their bodies and cycles so that they don’t need to rely on hormones to avoid getting pregnant and can enjoy birth control free sex during non-fertile times of the cycle. She also helps mothers prepare for the important conversations with their girls about growing up, sex and relationships by filling in the gaps of information and proving a safe environment for moms to get clear on the messages they want to give and create the kind of environment where their girls will continue to confide in them through the teenage years.
In 2000, Robin was diagnosed with moderate to severe cervical dysplasia and was at risk for cervical cancer. It was scary to hear the doctor throw words like pre-cancer around. She looked online for a support group and not finding one, she started her own. By the time her appointment for the biopsies arrived, she decided she would decline the prescribed treatment and heal her cervix naturally on her own. 6 months later, her follow up pap was almost back to normal and the following year everything was normal and stayed that way for the next 14 years.
Robin went back to school in 2007 to get the formal education to back up her 25+ year long self-motivated study in a wide variety of topics including herbal medicine, fertility awareness, women’s reproductive health, cervical dysplasia, HPV, STDs, natural birth control, pregnancy, conception, nutrition and alternative healthcare practices. In January of 2012, she graduated with honors from the American College of Healthcare Sciences receiving a diploma in Holistic Health Practice.
Since then Robin has continued to develop and add new skills and resources to her toolbox. She received certifications in coaching, parent coaching, business coaching and several healing modalities including the Peace Process and Instant Miracle Technique. She apprenticed with Dr. Sandra Bevacqua to learn blood chemistry analysis.
In 2017, Robin founded The HPV Education Project to raise awareness about the virus, new advances in HPV testing and holistic methods of promoting cervical health for women who have an abnormal pap smear or tested positive for HPV. Armed with a holistic approach coupled with the latest advances in technology, she is empowering women to protect themselves from HPV and helping women to nurture their cervix back to good health after an HPV infection.
Robin currently lives in Tucson, Arizona and works with women all over the world helping them to acquire the knowledge, tools and skills needed to create greater reproductive health and well-being.
